Australian Lunar Series III 2027 Year of the Goat Gold and Silver Coins
The Perth Mint is proud to unveil the Australian Lunar Series III Year of the Goat 1oz Gold and Silver Proof Coins, showcasing the artistry, symbolism and craftsmanship that have made our lunar offering one of the world ' s most celebrated numismatic collections.
Those born in this auspicious year are believed to be calm, compassionate and creative. They also possess a vibrant spirit, resilience and are often admired for their thoughtful approach to life and artistic talents.
These traits provide an ideal segue into introducing our coin designers Wade Robinson and Natasha Muhl who are responsible for the 2027 artistry of this highly anticipated annual theme.
DESIGN INSPIRATION
This year’ s 99.99 % pure gold proof coins feature a design by Wade Robinson and continue the tradition of depicting a solitary animal.
“ I researched various breeds of goat found throughout Asia, learned their behaviours, and studied their most prominent stances,” said Wade.
