The coin’ s reverse portrays SpongeBob SquarePants and his friends including Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Gary, Sandy Cheek, Mr Krabs and Sheldon J. Plankton, all depicted in full colour.

The background represents the underwater city of Bikini Bottom, along with flower shaped motifs. The design includes the official‘ SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS’ logo, and The Perth Mint’ s‘ P’ mintmark.

The coin is packaged in a brightly coloured presentation card, featuring SpongeBob ' s smiling face on the front. The back of the card includes a fold-out stand for upright display.
