Distinctive artistry
NEW RELEASE
“ My designs draw inspiration from traditional sources , including the famous Nine-Dragon Wall , and dragons embroidered on Imperial robes . Yet I hope to have achieved original and distinctive artistry that adds further to the great legacy of the dragon .”
— Ing Ing Jong , Coin Designer
Applied by hand , antiquing is a surface treatment that tones the natural lustre of silver to convey the look of an aged artefact .
Struck from 2oz of 99.99 % pure silver , this superb example celebrates the auspicious Chinese dragon with a design portraying the beneficent creature among stylised clouds . Including motifs representing traditional Chinese boats , houses , a pagoda , and a ‘ moon ’ bridge , the coin ’ s aura of good fortune is underlined by its favourable mintage figure featuring the lucky number eight .
