Founded in 1899 at the height of the Western Australian gold rush , The Perth Mint has an outstanding reputation for minting excellence .
Offering physical bullion and a range of precious metal investment solutions , we also operate one of the largest , most technologically advanced and highly-accredited gold and silver refineries in the world . Acquired by the Western Australian State Government in 1970 , the Mint was appointed by the Commonwealth Government of Australia to manufacture and market its official gold , silver and platinum coin program in the 1980s .
